Welcome to your Rawfiche care guide! Each piece of Rawfiche jewellery is handcrafted with love, using Scottish seaglass and occasionally other beautiful natural materials like agates, garnets, amethysts, and carnelians. To keep your jewellery looking its best, please follow these care instructions:
Avoid Moisture: Store your jewellery in a cool, dry place away from moisture and direct sunlight.
Cleaning: Wipe gently with a soft, dry cloth to remove fingerprints or dirt. Avoid abrasive materials.
Chemicals: Keep away from perfumes, lotions, and cleaning products, as these can affect the finish of plated and natural materials.
Activity: Remove your jewellery before bathing, swimming, exercising, or doing household chores to protect its integrity.
Zamac: Clean with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid prolonged exposure to moisture to prevent dulling.
Brass: Wipe gently and store in a dry space to prevent tarnishing. Occasional polishing with a brass-safe cloth can restore shine.
Plated Copper: (Gold/Silver): Avoid scratching and exposure to water or chemicals to maintain the plating.
Sterling Silver: Use a soft polishing cloth to keep it shiny. Store in a moisture-free environment to reduce tarnishing.
Stainless Steel: Durable and easy to maintain. Simply clean with a soft cloth when needed.
Raw Copper: May naturally patina over time. To restore its shine, polish gently with a copper-safe cloth.
Eco-Friendly Practices: Our card packaging is recyclable, and our boxes are reusable. We encourage you to recycle or reuse them where possible.
Cellophane Sleeves: These are not currently biodegradable, but we’re working on it! In the meantime, please consider reusing them or handing them back to us so we can reuse them.
Reusable Plastic Bags: Some of our jewellery comes in reusable plastic bags. These are great for storing moisture-sensitive pieces and reducing waste.
